Hello! I am Darren and this is my wife, Erin. After working for 15 years in FIFO mining, I often spoke about an exit strategy.

Late 2021, I was sourcing a service provider to perform the slashing and firebreaks for our hobby farm down south.

Since owning the farm, our neighbour had kindly completed our firebreaks every year to meet the DFES and Shire bushfire-ready requirements. Unfortunately, our neighbours sold up and moved into town.

After numerous phone calls, emails, and messages to a number of contractors in this field, it seemed everyone was too busy to fit our hobby farm in!

That was when Cutting Round Corners was born. We are family-owned and operated, offering firebreaks, rotary hoeing, slashing and transport services.
